Adam is a committed and hardworking finalist Sociology and Criminology student at the University of Warwick whom has recently been awarded full funding via the ESRC Grand Union DTP to fulfil a 1+3.5 in Criminology at the University of Oxford. As an aspiring academic, Adam spends a lot of his time making the most of as many opportunities available to him as possible. He is particularly passionate about widening participation in education and social justice research with a particular focus on issues related to the LGBTQIA+ community , police studies and prisoner-child relationships.
• Scrutinised and developed the internal Student Union frameworks to ensure student queries are addressed and the overall student experience is of a high quality with the campus offering a safe and welcoming environment for all. • Reviewed and allocated a £20,000 campaign budget to respective bids
• Assisted with the interrelations of a student union of 25,000 students , managing any queries as well as the general functioning of democratic processes such as spring elections to steer the direction of the SU. • Implemented physical (Leafleting and speeches (Independently designed and delivered)) and digital marketing (Social media and website presence) strategies to amass 6,390 votes of engagement in democratic processes campus wide across two election seasons.
