VFA-Interlift, founded in 1987, is an industry-based association of SMEs with more than 230 member companies with an annual turnover of around 1,5 billion euros. Its members manufacture lifts and their components. VFA is the home of the German-speaking lift community. VFA sponsors the biggest lift exhibition, offers a wide range of training & education and is involved in national, european and international legislation.
ELA, the European Lift Association, represents the lifts, escalators and moving walks associations active in the European Union (EU) or the European Free Trade Area (EFTA), whether they are national associations or sector specific associations. ELA also represents their components manufacturers. Thanks to this very wide representation, ELA has become the main communication vector of the lift, escalator and moving walkways industry to the European Commission, the European Parliament and a range of other institutions and organizations. Its aim is also to help the national associations in their dialogue with their respective governments.
Elevator World, Inc. serves the global building-transportation industry. It employs specialists in Mobile, Alabama, and has technical and news correspondents around the world. The staff in Mobile is involved in editorial, production, advertising, circulation, marketing and administrative activities related to both print and online publishing.
The Achim + Bernd Hütter Foundation was set up to support underprivileged children in the greater area of Hamburg. Every year the Board will decide on one project to be supported by the Foundation.
