Data Structures and Algorithms https://courses.cs.washington.edu/courses/cse373/23au/ Conducted sections composed of teaching student's fundamentals of working with different data structures and algorithms in Java. held office hours mainly consisting of teaching students the logic behind these topics, including topics like time complexities, overall data structures, pseudocode and some debugging. Walked around lectures and helped answer student questions related to topics discussed during said lecture.
Intermediate Data Programming specifically with Python. https://courses.cs.washington.edu/courses/cse163/24wi/ Prepared and taught sections of anywhere from 20-30 students. Conducted office hours where any number of students would come and receive help with coding and conceptual topics related to python and the course. Walked around lectures held by the main professor and assisted students with any questions they may have.
• Worked with Virufy to achieve goals of improving the accuracy of their machine learning algorithm and creating a tool that increased the efficiency of their audio annotations. • Used Python to achieve an accuracy of 76% on identifying COVID-19 positive cough samples with our model using audio classification packages as well as different machine learning libraries (TensorFlow/PyTorch). • Used React as well as other JavaScript tools to develop a UI that sped up the process of annotating 2000 cough samples by 2 hours. Left Virufy with the start of a tool that automates this annotation process, potentially saving the remainder of time. • Finalist for the Innovation award at that year’s Capstone awards.
