Abhishek Maheshwari is a seasoned business leader - he has led varied organizations across industries, built and led high performing teams and successfully turned around and scaled businesses. He is currently the CEO and Board Member of OneAssist Consumer Solutions, India's leading consumer assistance platform. Until recently, he served as a Senior Advisor with Blackstone in their Asia Private Equity practise. Prior to that, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Aakash Education where led a team of 10,000+ employees with a charter to transform Aakash to a high growth omni-channel company and help students achieve their aspirations. The company achieved ~60% Revenue and EBITDA CAGR during his tenure driven by cultural and technology led transformation, increased geographical footprint, product expansion, franchisee integration and student growth across offline and online offerings. Prior to this, Abhishek served as the head of Disney in India for several years where he was responsible for P&L, strategy formulation and execution across all of Disney's businesses (TV, Films, Consumer Products, Gaming, Content & Live Entertainment), brands (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and UTV) and functions. Prior to Disney, Abhishek led investments for Kubera, a mid-market growth equity fund focused on cross border technology investments. Prior to that, he was with McKinsey & Company at their Mumbai and Stamford, Connecticut offices leading strategy and operations projects across industries in the US, Europe and India. Abhishek received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with distinction from Columbia Business School in New York and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi.
