Selected to interview potential medical students at Keele University, transitioning from a preparatory role for applicants to an evaluator. I assess candidates on their motivation, ethical reasoning, and suitability for a career in medicine. Reflecting on this responsibility has strengthened my own understanding of the qualities essential for medical practice and reinforced my commitment to nurturing the next generation of doctors
As a Medicine Interview Tutor at MedicMind, my role is guiding aspiring medical students through the rigorous interview preparation process. Drawing on my in-depth understanding of medical school admissions, I provide tailored coaching that helps candidates refine their communication skills, develop structured responses, and build confidence for their interviews. At MedicMind, I work with a diverse range of students, offering personalized feedback and strategic insights into the medical interview process, including MMI (Multiple Mini Interviews), panel interviews, and ethical scenarios. My passion for medicine, combined with my commitment to education, drives me to support future doctors in achieving their goals and excelling in their medical school interviews.
During my gap year in 2021, I had an opportunity to serve as a Maths Mentor for students ranging from Year 7 to Year 12 at my previous school, Springwood High School. My responsibilities included Personalised Tutoring: Tailoring sessions to meet each student’s unique needs, helping them understand complex concepts and improve their problem-solving skills. Curriculum Support: Assisting students with their homework, and exam preparation, ensuring they stay on track with their studies. Building Confidence: Encouraging a positive mindset towards maths by fostering a supportive and patient learning environment. Developing Study Strategies: Teaching effective study habits and techniques to help students become independent learners. Compassionate Guidance: Offering emotional support and motivation, understanding that every student's learning journey is unique. This experience honed my communication, leadership, and teaching skills, and my passion for helping others succeed academically. I am eager to bring these skills into a professional environment where I can continue to positively impact.
