Doha, Qatar
I help institutions translate complex energy, climate, digital, and development challenges into clear analysis, practical roadmaps, and decisions that can move into implementation. I am a researcher and project professional working across public policy, energy, sustainability, development, and project delivery. My background combines an M.A. in Public Policy from the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, an M.Sc. and BSc in Engineering, and PMP® certification. This mix shapes how I work: I try to understand both the technical side of a problem and the institutional realities that determine whether a good idea can actually move forward. Over the past few years, I have worked on Qatar’s LNG role, Gulf energy transitions, climate finance, EU-GCC green trade, AI infrastructure, sustainable development, and regional policy challenges. I have (co) authored research and policy outputs for policy, institutional, and expert audiences. What motivates me most is work that stretches my thinking. I enjoy assignments where the problem is not fully defined, the responsibility is real, and the solution requires fast learning, structured analysis, and collaboration across technical, policy, and institutional perspectives. I would love to connect with people, professionals, and institutions working on energy policy, sustainability, digital transformation, development planning, ESG, and climate-resilient growth in Qatar, the GCC, and the wider region. Core strengths: • Energy transition and sustainability policy • Qatar/GCC and MENA policy analysis • Climate resilience and environmental governance • Project coordination and delivery support • Stakeholder engagement and reporting • Monitoring, indicators, and performance tracking • Executive writing, policy briefs, and presentations • Public sector and development-oriented advisory
• I contribute as an Early Career Researcher and Reviewer to IPCC Working Group I, Chapter 7, focusing on regional climate extremes, heatwaves, drought, compound events, and climate-risk evidence relevant to arid and semi-arid regions. • Selected as ECR from 1,470 applicants; contributed to AR7(the Seventh Assessment Report cycle) Chapter 7 review[Projections of regional climate and extremes]. • Participating in four training sessions, and comments submitted and credited in the final report. • Supporting the IPCC’s mission to provide rigorous, peer-reviewed scientific input for global climate policy.
• Conducted in-depth analysis of financing and technology design to enhance rural access to energy solutions. • Contributed to a UNDP-led project on Sudan, preparing components of the Terms of Reference (ToR) for research on solar and wind value chains, MSMEs, and livelihoods in conflict-affected regions. • Regularly publish commentary and op-eds on energy, climate, and governance for regional and international outlets, including policy institutes and media platforms. • Advised civil society and NGOs in Sudan on how to integrate clean cooking and solar electrification programs, promoting sustainable practices. • Engaged in key conferences and workshops, influencing environmental and energy policy discussions.
• Produced policy and advisory outputs while coordinating timelines, inputs, briefing materials, and stakeholder-facing deliverables across multiple workstreams. • Produced more than 10 op-eds and commentaries, several of which informed internal Council briefings and public-facing commentary for policymakers. • Co-authored 3–4 research outputs, including policy papers and peer-reviewed articles, contributing empirical evidence on the climate–energy–security nexus and its implications for MENA and the Horn of Africa. • Participated in over 10 high-level roundtables and expert meetings, including a closed session, providing analytical input to diplomats, researchers, and regional stakeholders. • Delivered presentations or interventions at 6+ regional and international events, representing MECGA’s research agenda in forums focused on energy transition, sustainability, and Gulf–Africa cooperation. • Engaged with policymakers, diplomats, and industry experts across the Gulf, Africa, and Asia to support evidence-based dialogue.
Coordinated expert inputs and iterative revisions for a report delivered under deadline pressure, ensuring structured follow-up and document control. Improved the usability of outputs through clear organization, assumptions validation, and consistency checks.
