About

I am a Nigerian lawyer, international law advocate, and public policy professional with experience spanning legal education, public sector reform, and international trade facilitation. As a law student at the University of Uyo, I led my university to national victories in international law competitions, emerging as Runner-Up at the All Africa IHL Moot before the former UN Criminal Tribunal in Rwanda. My commitment to legal education led me to volunteer post-graduation, mentoring nearly 600 law students across three public universities. Professionally, I’ve served as State Legal Counsel, prosecuting corruption and security-related offences, and supporting regional governments to secure international development funding. In private practice, I specialise in maritime law, commercial arbitration, trade compliance, and development law, advising multinationals, governments and companies alike. As a volunteer with the Nigeria Economic Summit Group, I have contributed to legislative reforms in trade and energy policy, notably influencing forex policy reform and fuel quality regulation aligned with EU standards. Currently, I am pursuing my LL.M. in International Law and Legal Practice, with a focus on economic integration, finance law, and human rights, as I deepen my mission to shape inclusive legal systems and sustainable development in Nigeria. My goal is to model world-class legal education and research, shaping future policymakers, while framing legal and policy mechanisms for a more competitive and human-rights-compliant Nigerian economy. My current role at GText Holdings involves supporting legal compliance across 8+ subsidiaries in construction, education, housing, agriculture, media and fund management. I am supporting a goal of building about 25,000 green and smart homes to deliver on the World Bank's vision of ending poverty on a liveable planet. Let’s connect on law, development, and global impact.
