• Designed and simulated using single mode waveguide, a ring resonator with add-drop configuration at operation wavelength of 1550 nm. • Achieved Q-factor of 110,000 using FDTD simulations consistent with theoretical calculations. • Observed Rabbi splitting around every 26 nm and took steps to reduce it by optimizing waveguide design, ring geometry and coating by 5%.
