With expertise across multiple disciplines, I am a Senior Lawyer at Slaughter and May. I advise companies, governments, and international organisations on complex legal and strategic issues at the interface of the sustainability, climate change, energy transition, infrastructure, and natural resource sectors. My work includes advising on projects, transactions, regulatory, and cross-border trade issues relating to emissions trading schemes (UK ETS and EU ETS), carbon border adjustment mechanisms (CBAMs), voluntary carbon markets (VCMs), the Paris Agreement’s financing and market mechanisms, as well as the hydrogen, carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS), digital infrastructure, sustainable transport, nuclear, renewable energy, and energy storage sectors. I also participate in various government and industry working groups. Beyond my practice, I remain deeply committed to advancing legal and governance frameworks that address the complexities of the energy transition, evolving global value chains, and sustainability challenges. I have published widely in academic journals and books, given media interviews, and have lectured in leading universities in the UK and Australia. I have a PhD in Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Master of Laws with Distinction from the University of Melbourne.
