Aaron Young is a BAFTA-nominated Producer and Director, currently working in television and film. On the television side, Aaron is the Executive Producer of 'Lost Home Movies of Nazi Germany' (BBC 2019) and 'Prue Leith: Journey with My Daughter' (Channel 4 2020), director/producer of 'Lost Temples of Cambodia' (3x 47', Channel 4 2024), 'Hidden Histories of WWII' (4x 46' 2024) 'The Chalke Valley History Show' (CVHF 2020), 'Normandy: D-Day and the Battle for France' (3x 48' 2020), 'Normandy '44: The Battle Beyond D-Day' (BBC 2014), 'The Battle for Malta' (BBC 2013), 'Dam Busters: The Race to Smash the German Dams' (BBC 2011), 'Battle of Britain - The Real Story (BBC 2010), and producer of 'Durga - The Goddess Comes To London' (five 2006). He has also worked across a number of other singles and series, including 'The Great British Story' (BBC 2012), 'Story of England' (BBC 2010), 'Christina: A Medieval Life' (BBC 2008), 'The Story of India' (BBC 2007), 'In Search of Myths & Heroes' (BBC/PBS 2004) and 'Walking The Bible: A Journey into Three Faiths' (PBS 2005). Between 2004 and 2010, Aaron was heavily involved with the UK Film Council's Short Film Completion Fund, the last three years running the fund as Completion Fund Executive. The scheme was supported by the National Lottery through the UK Film Council's New Cinema Fund and, during its time, achieved a consistently high level of success. Aaron maintains a strong interest in dramatic cinema and continues to develop projects with a desire to move further into features. In 2011, Aaron was named as one of forty-two BAFTA 'Brits to Watch' - in an inaugural list of emerging British talent tipped for future success in the years to come.
