Currently, I'm an engineering program manager in medical devices, driving new product introduction and aligning client needs with engineering solutions.
• Serve as engineering project leader for NPD, R&D, and compliance projects. • Define the scope of endeavors by ascertaining project needs and serving as the point of contact for stakeholders and core team members. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams consisting of engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and more in order to map out paths of least resistance for the projects. • Interface with stakeholders and project sponsors to discuss strategies for removing roadblocks for the team.
• Provided tactical leadership as an American expat in Denmark throughout the commercialization of a critical system component which will generate an added $1M/year in revenue. • Served as lead through business proposition to planning, securing buy-in from senior leadership towards execution. • Established, tracked, and maintained schedule and budget, facilitating the alignment in the financial plan. • Ensured the team was aware of potential project risks and obstacles which empowered the team to finalize critical decisions and drive accountability. • Supported NPD / R&D strategies by hosting regular educational workshops regarding enterprise processes and provided effective tools to core team members.
• Project lead for engineering VAVE project while facilitating collaboration of a cross-functional team comprised of design engineering and manufacturing personnel. • Realized savings of ~$250K/year and opened up 2,000 capacity hours for plant personnel. • Developed product business case dependent on internal and external feedback and led the review between engineering and product management. • Analyzed feasibility, cost, and return on investment for product ideas and provided recommendations on the next steps.
• Collaborated with process engineering, R&D, and commercial to scale-up phase-changing materials (PCM) coating while traveling regularly from HQ to the manufacturing plant. • Acted as a technical consultant to the senior scientist and business development manager in customer tests and inquiries.
• Primary engineer of a new automated liquid handling robot as well as coordinated and conducted preliminary feasibility tests. Assisted in automation process overhauls in collaboration with coworkers. • Examined, assessed, and automated the in-vitro lab work of two scientists and delivered a presentation to division lead scientists and director on the possibility of automation and next steps.
