Responsible for the development and implementation of university-wide strategy, policies, processes and procedures related to Student Services and Academic Advising at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Areas of responsibility include advising, orientation programs, year-long registration, student services systems for continuing and re-entry students that result in meeting and exceeding the key measures of persistence, retention, and graduation rates. Communicate daily with faculty, staff, executive leadership, instructors, and students regarding academic, curricula, policy and procedural matters. Responsible for meeting aggressive retention, persistence and graduation rate goals.
Instruct students to create and manipulate spreadsheets with Microsoft Excel to solve business applications and prepare for the Microsoft Office Certification in Excel.
Manage Student Services staff including hiring, training, evaluating performance effectiveness, and supervising a team of 16 advisors. Responsible for all aspects of traditional and non-traditional student orientation including leading and organizing a team of professionals across 9 campuses.
