I signed a 5 year contract with the United States Marine Corps at the beginning of my senior year in High School and went on to become a sergeant in less than two and half years where I served in Operation Enduring Freedom over an 8 man electronics team before my contract ended in 2002. Not wanting to do electronics I put my exploration hat on and began the search for something more. I had a few different jobs and attended colleges and received multiple credits but no particular career stood out as being the ultimate career. Having a military background but no construction experience I was able to get a career with the Ohio Department of Transportation as a Highway Technician 1 in 2006. While with ODOT I received multiple heavy equipment certifications, became the SME for the newly developing culvert inspections program and resigned as a Highway Technician 3 in Feb, 2019. In Feb, 2019 I took a contract position with Aclara as a meter installer for a short time where I ended that position as a team leader and trainer. In August of 2019 I was hired by ProFlo Industries as a production and quality assurance manager where I eventually got the assignment of reorganizing the table of organization where I relabeled the position as Planning Director of Operations. Human Resource and Program Development were the larger roles in this position. I was let go for COVID Reasons in August of 2020. After ProFlo I debated on a business degree or political science degree and in January of 2021, I enrolled at Liberty University to take online classes for a political science degree where I graduated in May of 2022 with a 3.86 GPA (Magna Cum Laude). During and after the degree I was working for a local contractor but soon realized that owning a business was the next step for me. Realizing the earning potential and the valuable experience of being an owner of a business, Butler House Wash was born July 24,2022. The business has done well and now I am navigating the off-season by reevaluating the skills and experience that I have accrued in order to put them to good use. I love to teach, write and lead. I am tenacious and learn quickly with a resolve of supporting my family, community and country in all that I do.
