My career path has taken me from very hands-on roles as a draftsman and detailer, to managing client relationships as a Project Manager. This range of experience gave me a good understanding of working on a project end-to-end. Having a technical and a business perspective of how to successfully deliver projects of all sizes provided me with a good foundation for my current management role as the General Manager of Feature Walters. As a division of Walters Group, Feature Walters is a single source provider for custom fabrication and installation of mixed material projects. My role is to grow this area of the business and ensure that projects are successfully executed. I love the creative nature of the projects we work on. From public art to feature staircases, every day I get to work with progressive architects and engineers to create the unique elements that define leading-edge architecture.
- Reporting directly to the Walters Board, responsible for the strategic direction of Feature Walters, a division of Walters Group. - Lead business development to facilitate the growth of the company. - Oversee day-to-day operations and oversight and development of the team.
- Responsible for creating general arrangement drawings for steel plant lay-outs including blast furnace details - Travelled to numerous steel plants to work on site during shut-downs and/or emergency situations - Spent time drafting in the refractory division
