As a senior executive who served in multiple leadership roles, I am dedicated to empowering every person and institution to achieve more through building a sustainable learning driven systems, that deliver best-in-class services. I am recognized as a leader who can articulate a clear vision and translate that into feasible objectives, then empower people to deliver value to all stakeholders. With over 25 years of experience in leadership, management and transformation,I worked as the CEO of the MOD Health Services, the second largest publicly funded health services system in Saudi Arabia with more than 60,000 employees, a multibillion SAR operating budget, 23 hospitals, over 150 clinics, specialized centers, and academic entities nationwide. My primary role was ensuring an optimal environment for delivering high quality services and leading the transformation of the system to meet the strategic goals of the MOD. This includes human capital development, improving service delivery, infrastructure development, financial management, digital transformation, training, and research. For example, we successfully launched over 20 system-wide initiatives, more than 200 local teams to optimize services, redesigned customer experiences, and developed human capital. Notably, we completed one of the largest rollout of an EHR system in the region during the pandemic, achieving over 1.3 B SAR in efficiency gains, while maintaining the wellbeing of our community during a global pandemic. I also severed in multiple boards and committees currently and in the past, including the Health Holding Company, the Royal Clinics, the SHC, the Council of Health Insurance, and the managing committee of the HSTP (part of Vision 2030). These roles allow me to contribute to decision making and shaping the future of health services in Saudi Arabia. I also worked as the Secretary General of the Saudi Health Council (SHC), leading the national health sector governance reform initiative and coordinating between providers and regulatory entities. As the Executive Director of QPS at the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs (MNGHA), I ensured the effective delivery of safe and reliable healthcare services. In my academic career, I was the Associate Dean and then Dean of the College of Public Health and Health Informatics at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, where I set strategies and managed academic, research, and service activities. Health Holding Company, established by the Saudi government in 2022 as a non-profit company. would take over healthcare services and provision of care traditionally delivered by the country's Ministry of Health (MoH). Health Holding Company (HHC), which has been authorized by the Saudi Cabinet of Ministers, would focus on delivering medical services and care through emerging health clusters, which are a collection of autonomous enterprises that specialize in specific services. In the future, the Ministry of Health will concentrate on governing and overseeing all public and private health organizations in the country. With over 250 thousand staff members, 280 Hospitals and more than 2000 primary care centers, the newly created company will be one of the largest companies in the country.
A governmental body with an independent legal authority established in 1999, with the aim of supervising the implementation and regulation of the health insurance system headed by the Minister of Health and the high level membership of a representative of governmental and private entities. The goal of the council is governance and regulation of the private health insurance sector by enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of health services for beneficiaries and enabling stakeholders to achieve fairness , transparency, and excellence in performance and excellence
The SHC is responsible for regulating the Saudi health system, the national health strategy, healthcare regulations, managing and coordinating between all provider entities to optimize the health value of the population.
The health Sector Transformation Program is one of Saudi Vision 2030 realization programs. The program aims to restructure the Kingdom’s health sector to be a comprehensive, effective, and integrated health system that is based on the health of the individual and society. The program contributes to creating a vibrant society in the Kingdom through working with more than 18 entities, towards achieving 4 direct strategic objectives through several ambitious initiatives.
