Spearheaded Fujifilm’s UK IT/OT Expansion program. Responsible for the building of a new OT MCN network and key services along with onboarding process equipment and automation systems to enable Fujifilm to move towards NIS2 compliance and protect its manufacturing operations, all whilst expanding its UK manufacturing capability. Onboarded initially as a Project Manager to head up Fujifilm’s new plant infrastructure and OT deliverables working alongside Fujis automation team, however, within 3 months moved into the Program Manager position as the deliverables expanded and additional IT requirements were identified, such as a new Datacentre. Built a team of IT/OT architects, project managers and front & back-office engineers and onboarded the support of a 3rd party MSP to detail the necessary Purdue HLD’s and LLD’s, build the required infrastructure and onboarding the systems and equipment onto the newly built manufacturing control network. Identified and delivered multiple projects to support the expansion program which if not identified, would have had a significant impact to the time and cost of completing the facility. Projects included a new Datacentre build, upgrade of existing Datacentre infrastructure, SAP & DMS projects alongside solutions such as Cisco ISE. Responsible for reporting and presenting program updates to key stakeholders including the site leadership team, VP’s, CIO and the build & operational readiness project directors. Managed multiple budgets exceeding £5m. Operating in a highly regulated GxP pharmaceutical environment, ensuring all necessary documentation, change controls and compliance requirements are fully met.
Spearheading GSK’s OT Cyber Security Asset Inventory Management solution integrating several technologies into one solution to provide a single destination for asset & vulnerability information for site personnel and central teams thus enabling remediation and further projects to improve GSK’s OT Cyber Security posture. Challenged with deploying Tenable.OT MPPM tool to eighteen manufacturing facilities across GSK to improve GSK’s OT asset and vulnerability visibility. Responsible for completing the delivery of the MDT AutoSave configuration management solution to nine GSK facilities improving GSK’s OT device version control and backup & restore management posture. Performed various other activities such as planning for GSK’s OT journey to cloud programme, an Octoplant technical validation assessment and the delivery of SailPoint and PMP to several facilities. Operating in a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment, ensuring all necessary documentation, change controls and compliance requirements are fully met. Working closely with site cyber champions, site tech leads, GSK’s IT cyber security office and IT teams and several 3rd parties, contractors and vendors.
Completed a multi-site proof of concept for OT asset identification and threat management using Claroty and Nozomi MPPM tools, working closely with Deloitte and both vendors. Analysed the results of the POC to identify and highlight vulnerabilities, areas for development, and the need for an MPPM solution. Oversaw a series of interviews and workshops to several key sites to identify, document and perform a series of OT Cyber remediation activities including critical asset identification & management processes, password management, patching the IT of OT systems and 3rd party access, ultimately improving the sites and JM’s overall OT Cyber Security posture. Responsible for the development and delivery of OT Cyber Security training modules via JM’s global training platform resulting in increased user OT Cyber knowledge and a reduction of JM’s overall OT Cyber risk. Assisted with the development and delivery of strategic OT Cyber Security target technology and target operating models alongside the definition of the OT Cyber programme scope and definition.
Delivered the IT requirements to build, commission and support a new Clean Air manufacturing facility in Bawal, India, resulting in JM’s Clean Air business improving production capacity and achieving its strategy programme. Deliverables included the procurement, build and commissioning of resilient WAN Links, fibre and copper structured cabling and LAN Infrastructure including the new plants Operational Technology network. Deliverables also included the design, procurement and installation of resilient server rooms and supporting infrastructure and the sizing, procurement, installation and setup of Dell VX Rail Hyper-Converged servers. Additional technologies included; Telephony, MS Teams, Video & Conference facilities, multiple IT, business and local applications, and an array of production peripherals including printers, PC’s and display screens. Co-ordinated activities across multiple global IT teams, local site build teams, automation and engineering teams and multiple vendors ensuring all activities and tasks are identified and delivered to plan. Constantly challenged with the Covid-19 pandemic, travel issues, time-zone differences, language, import & export regulations, compliance, and local environmental issues. Assumed responsibility for the delivery of solution and network low-level designs for a new refinery plant in the UK, ensuring compliance with OG86 & IE64223 regulations; subsequently completed the definition stage of the project detailing the IT Scope, costs, resourcing requirements and schedule alongside the plant build.
