Software Engineer on the Application Modernization Platform
Tech Lead Software Engineer working on the TikTok Search Business. Working on building the content ecosystem at TikTok through ML. Building out real-time infrastructure for ML models as well as feature engineering to improve recommendation systems.
Built the Machine Learning Infrastructure to give customers recommendations for Fashion Products both in real-time with customer signals, and offline using batch processing with ML models on Big Data using distributed systems.
Fashion Science, Collections Team - Participated in creating the main pipeline infrastructure which generates product recommendations based on query searches to users for fashion products using ML. - Created a training pipeline to automate model creation based on customer purchase data. Utilized deep learning docker images, and optimized training from 14 days to 3 days through determining bottlenecks and proper resource utilization. The pipeline also expanded our query coverage by 30% and gives a better customer experience with our recommendations. - Expanded our coverage to seven other countries. - Made the query set dynamic instead of static to improve trending queries targeting. - Leveraged Native AWS technologies with Sagemaker, Lambda, Step Functions, EMR, S3 - Utilized Python, Pyspark, Typescript, Java, Yaml
