Develop state-of-the-art 3D computer vision solutions for Eye Tracking on next generation Augmented and Virtual Reality products
• Led all Data Science and Machine Learning efforts across Kavak • Hired global team of 20 engineers as the company became the first Mexican Unicorn and then the largest startup in Latin America • Oversaw creation of pipelines for automatic deployment, testing, monitoring, and retraining of machine learning models • Oversaw development of machine learning products for pricing, predictive maintenance, credit scoring, car recommendations, and computer vision, among others
• Designed, proposed, and delivered first AWS ML Solutions Lab projects for customers in Mexico • Customer Obsession award for helping customers solve business problems with Artificial Intelligence solutions, including recommender systems, anomaly detection, time-series prediction, and analysis of text, images, and video • Delivered AI workshops and training for clients and partners • Achieved all 10 AWS technical certifications including Big Data, Machine Learning, Security, and DevOps
• Developed Convolutional Neural Networks to detect, identify and track objects in video feed. Achieved more than twice the accuracy and twice the speed of available Cloud APIs. • Launched two internal Machine Learning competitions with over 2,000 entries by over 400 active users. • Led the implementation of big data technologies at a federal agency, using Hadoop and Spark to allow statisticians to analyze administrative records 10 - 100x faster. • Contributed to Deloitte’s machine learning capability by teaching classes and writing articles on deep learning.
• Helped clients effectively use data to make better decisions by applying statistical and machine learning techniques to a wide variety of challenging questions including consumer spending, lifestyle trends, political stability, employee performance and retention. • Advised partners across Latin America on survey design and enumeration for the Gallup World Poll.
