As the HSSEQ Director at Marlow Navigation, a leading international provider of third-party ship management services, I am entrusted with the paramount responsibility of ensuring the safety, security, and environmental compliance across our fleet of vessels and for our esteemed seafarers. With a wealth of technical and operational expertise spanning more than 25 years, my role encompasses the meticulous oversight of safety inspections, environmental regulatory adherence, implementation of quality systems, and comprehensive training initiatives. I am also an accredited ISM, ISPS, MLC, ISO9001, and ISO14001 auditor, and a certified Plans for Recovery of People from Sea and Energy Efficiency specialist. In addition to my current role, I have been a maritime course author for the Diplomas in "Ship Management" and "Maritime Law", at Lloyd's Maritime Academy, where I developed and delivered online modules on ISO Maritime Standards, Maritime Decarbonization, IMO Conventions, and other topics. I have also been a member of various expert networks, such as Guidepoint and Third Bridge Group, where I provided maritime expert advice to financial firms, investment firms, consultancies, corporations, and non-for-profit institutions. My mission is to promote and enhance the safety and security culture in the maritime industry, with a special focus on the human factor and the impact of emerging technologies and regulations.
