- Supported research activities in energy systems, renewable energy, and sustainability within applied research projects. - Contributed to the design, monitoring, and evaluation of pilot systems related to the water–energy–food nexus (e.g. greenhouses, aquaponics, desalination testbeds). - Assisted with data collection, processing, and performance analysis, including energy consumption, system efficiency, and operational optimization. - Conducted background research and literature reviews on renewable energy integration and sustainable resource management. - Supported the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal teams and external partners. - Assisted in project coordination tasks, including scheduling, documentation, and communication within multidisciplinary teams.
I participated in a renewable energy studies programme, where I acquired comprehensive knowledge of the sector and the skills required to address urgent energy challenges. The programme was structured with lectures from IRENA experts, engaging discussions with my peers, and a series of group assignments which were instrumental in enhancing my understanding of the field. I got the opportunity to: • Attend lectures and workshops on key topics in renewable energy and sustainable development • Meet and network with experts in the field • Visit renewable energy projects and research institutions • Develop leadership and communication skills • Participate in a team project to develop a renewable energy solution for a real-world problem
