About

I am an MS Industrial Biotechnology graduate from School of Biosciences at NUST. I have done my research in metagenomic analysis of phages in urinary tract infections. I am experienced in executing bioinformatics workflow. I have also worked on staphylococcus aureus phage isolation and characterization from hospital sewage. I can perform research independently and contribute my lab fellows with my manpower to help in moving heavy/light stuff around the lab. I am currently looking for opportunities in a lab or organization where I can apply my skills and increase shareholder value.

Isolated and characterized 13 MRSA-infecting bacteriophages from hospital sewage water; confirmed activity via spot assays and plaque assays against 13 clinical MRSA isolates Performed host range assays across all 13 clinical isolates to map phage specificity and infection breadth Conducted comparative genomics using Galaxy, KBase, and Linux/command-line environments (MobaXterm) for phage genome annotation and analysis

Analyzed national nutrition surveillance data to identify malnutrition trends across demographic groups, contributing to Pakistan's Annual Nutrition Plan. Applied epidemiological frameworks to assess stunting prevalence and disease burden, supporting evidence-based multi-sectoral policy recommendations. Reviewed SDG-aligned intervention strategies for combating malnutrition, gaining exposure to the intersection of public health data and national policy planning.
