Leading DB Cargo's restructuring programme across 14 European subsidiaries: Designing, implementing and validating 100+ turnaround measures delivering a total P&L effect of ≈100 mEUR. Developing the strategic and governance framework for DB Cargo’s European network, translating Group level priorities into executable, country-specific business plans and transformation roadmaps. Managing high-level projects across the subsidiaries with measurable improvements in operational performance and commercial development, e.g. stabilising locomotive availability and operational dispatching processes on the Atlantic-Mediterranean rail freight corridor.
Operational, technical and financial management of rolling stock: ECM 1 - 3 functions (50 electric and diesel locomotives): Focus on stabilising daily operations, executing ETCS conversion and revision projects, as well as financial management, sales and procurement processes. Day-to-Day management of Maintenance Workshop Fredericia (ECM4): Operational production of inspections, maintenance and revisions with 10 operational employees. Completed major projects and sales / business development for external customers.
- Established new business unit Maintenance, from acquisition of infrastructure to ramp-up, to launching a fully operational workshop. - Launched new branch office in Sweden for Swedish train drivers, and acquired new block train services. - Introduced new train product to Hirtshals (‘Skagerrak Express’ to Norway) & demonstrated productional feasibility with successful test train with forwarders, port authority and railway partners. - Implementation of the 2030 DB Cargo business strategy for Scandinavia and executing programme measures towards organizational performance, profitability and growth. - Responsibility for restructuring measures with EBIT contribution of ≈ 10 mEUR. - External stakeholder management - driving representation and partnerships, leading external communications, and partnering on digitalisation and sustainability initiatives.
