As the Head of R&D at ecSeq Bioinformatics, I lead the development of software solutions and innovative algorithms in genome informatics. With a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from LMU and TU Munich and a doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) in Informatics from Leipzig University, I bring a robust scientific foundation and leadership experience to my role. Throughout my career, I have authored over 25 research papers in prestigious journals such as Nature Genetics and PNAS and contributed to international projects like the ICGC. My expertise includes developing sophisticated algorithms for RNA folding, protein solubility prediction, and differential alternative splicing detection. In my current position, I oversee the core development of SeamlessNGS, an advanced genetic testing software, and lead various R&D initiatives. I am also involved in custom NGS software development and provide consulting, training, and tailored analysis services for next-generation sequencing data. My role combines strategic oversight with technical innovation, ensuring our solutions remain at the forefront of bioinformatics.
