Soozy is a multidisciplinary designer with a passion for creating more beautiful and functional outdoor spaces for people and their surrounding ecosystems. With an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from San Jose State University, Soozy has a strong technical background with a problem-solving, systems-approach mindset. Throughout her engineering degree, she found a curiosity beyond the engineered systems themselves: how the users, people and nature, interact with them. A year after graduating, she pursued a Masters of Landscape Architecture at Cal Poly Pomona. During this degree she found her true identity as a designer: a storyteller, a naturalist, and an environmental advocate. With her engineering background, she has the ability to see and communicate multiple perspectives to her team and stakeholders. Soozy is a people person: she’s a team player and loves collaboration. Creating a sense of community and connection to the natural environment is very important to her.
