Software Engineer on the Algo Trading Optimization Desk at ENGIE GEMs. Responsible for developing and maintaining mission-critical tools that support real-time trading decisions in the energy sector (Intra-Day, Day-Ahead). - Designed and built the Day Ahead Bidding application from scratch, a core system that automates bid submissions for day-ahead energy markets based on forecast data, enabling faster and more accurate trading decisions. - Architected and implemented a full-stack platform to streamline and automate the short-term optimization process, reducing manual work and increasing operational efficiency. - Provide ongoing support to traders, rapidly delivering new features and ensuring robustness in high-pressure, time-sensitive trading environments. - Work closely with the trading desk and business stakeholders to understand operational needs and translate them into robust, production-grade software that aligns with market rules, pricing strategies, and forecast-driven decision-making.
