My passion for mental health care converges with a commitment to the queer and gender-diverse community. I leverage evidence-based interventions, including CBT, DBT, schema therapy, IFS and ACT to navigate complex emotional landscapes, foster resilience and improve overall wellbeing — ultimately leaning into the feeling of Lebensfreude (the joy of life). With extensive knowledge in LGBTQ health and a comprehensive grasp of psychological assessment tools, my practice is anchored in the latest clinical research and a client-centred, tailored therapeutic approaches. My mission is to create a safe, empathetic space that fosters resilience and supports clients in leading fulfilled lives.
As a psychologist working at King Street Psychology Clinic, I provide individualised and evidence-based interventions to queer and gender-diverse clients who combat general mental health problems, gender dysphoria and other challenges related to their identity. Completing my registrar at King Street Psychology Clinic allows me to gain specialist expertise in gender dysphoria/gender identity, sexual orientation-related mental health struggles, and sexual dysfunction and disorders besides learning about general mental health interventions.
The Mary Aikenhead Clinic provides high-quality psychological and counselling services to the community at a low cost. The clinic forms part of the Faculty of Health Sciences and is staffed by postgraduate students who are undertaking a postgraduate qualification in psychology or counselling. Throughout my placement,I acquired the ability to administer the following assessments: - Autism Assessment (ADOS-2, ADI-R, ABAS-3/Vineland-3) - ADHD Assessment (CAARS, Conners-3, ASRS-v1.1) - Cognitive Assessment (WISC-5, WAIS-4) - Personality Assessment (PAI) - Academic Skills Assessment (WIAT-3)
