-Establish standards for personnel performance and customer service. -Schedule catering services, food deliveries, and staff assignments. -Organize and direct worker training programs, hire new staff, and evaluate employee performance. -Review work procedures and operational problems to determine ways to improve service, performance, and safety. -Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and presentation of food. -Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, and accommodations. -Order and purchase equipment and supplies.
-Greet guests, present menus and food recommendations. -Train workers in food preparation, service, sanitation, and safety procedures. -Compile and balance cash receipts at the end of the day. -Supervise and participate in kitchen and dining area cleaning activities. -Resolve customer complaints regarding food service. -Present bills and accept payments. -Monitor inventory levels and order food.
