- Leading thermal and aero-thermal simulations of propulsion related systems, e.g., compressor stages, electric motors and electronics equipment - Holding responsibility for thermal management of devices - Contributing to the engine design by providing cooling design inputs based on sensitivity and trade studies
-Leading CFD simulation activities in the Powertrain team to optimize and innovate turbochargers, from component to full boosting systems -Design, optimization and analysis of turbines and compressors for turbocharger applications (CFD, FEA and CAD) and simulate their behavior in the global system with the engine (GT-Power) -Inventing and patenting a new twin-scroll turbine housing cross-scroll communication control valve concept -Implementing full turbine and compressor wheel reverse-engineering process (from 3D scanning to complete CFD flow analysis) to support benchmarking activities -As a member of the conceptshop team, monitoring the latest developments in the turbo- and automotive-industry, constantly proposing new concepts and working out first stage feasibility studies -Supporting measurements of the designed turbos in gasstand or engine test cells
