Tom graduated as Bio-science Engineer specializing in Environmental Technologies at UGent in 2013 and one year later as a 3Continent Master of Global Management at Antwerp Management School, Fordham University (New York) and Xavier Institute Management Bhubaneswar (India) in August 2014. Tom started working at E.P.I.C. as a project engineer in September 2014. He was responsible for designing and managing the construction of installations in plastic (PE,PP,PVC,PVDF) for a variety of customers. These are mostly internationals in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, as well as players in the global industry of the desalination of seawater. At the start of 2015, Tom decided to join Osmoflo and their ACWA Power Barka expansion project to get on site experience, working in both desalination plants and the region of the Middle East. Since June he transferred from the back office to day shift site supervisor for the mechanical works, and junior member of the commissioning team. In november 2015, Tom moved back to Belgium and started working at the engineering division of Teblick: Plastic Constructions and Installations.
•Member of the commissioning team of 12.5 MiGD desalination plant in Oman, responsible for leading control room team during nightshift •Designer and supervisor for site routing of entire chemical dosing system •Site Supervisor for the installation of various equipment, including GRP, Stainless Steel and Super Duplex piping
•Responsible for official communication and technical information sharing between over 40 companies and roughly 400 pax. working on site •Responsible for completion of Operation & Maintenance manual
•Project Engineer for revolutionary Mobile Desalination Pilot Plant in Masdar Project in Abu Dhabi •Responsible for design and structural calculations of various wet scrubber installations •Part-time liable for overall sourcing and procurement, including negotiations with both new and return suppliers
