Postdoctoral research fellow with a strong life science background (inflammatory diseases, immunology). Designed and executed studies by combining of in vivo and in vitro experiments, utilizing knock out mice, isolated primary cells and cell lines, coupled with molecular and proteomic approaches to identify, confirm and characterize key regulators and mediators of inflammation and cell death pathways.
Initiated projects to explore the adaptation of blood vessels and tumor cells during cellular stress. These studies leveraged knowledge of human pathologies including tumor growth, blood vessel proliferation, wound healing, mitochondrial defects, and were the basis of subsequent ongoing studies.
Executed multiple projects in a leading or collaborative role identifying molecular mechanisms of tumor growth, angiogenesis, and mitochondrial respiration. This research resulted in the publication of five scientific articles on the molecular mechanisms of tumor growth, patient health and resistance to chemotherapy. These findings extended the field’s understanding of human tumors, wound healing, and the DNA damage response.
