Gebr. Buijs Scheepsbouw was found in 1859 by Jan Buijs. More than 165 years experience in shipbuilding. Our expertise are: casco yachtbuilding casco navy vessels 3 dimensional bending of aluminium and (high polished) (stainless) steel plates Reparation above the waterline. We have a team, around 45 employees. Projects: Delivered 2013: 42,5 meter motoryacht. Delivered 2015: Casco 38,25 motor yacht. Delivered 2016: 48 mtr motor yacht. Delivered 2017: 36 mtr passenger vessel Delivered 2017: 2 shrimptrawlers and 1 aluminium yacht Delivered 2018: 22 mtr. barging boat Delivered 2018: 61 mtr. motor yacht Delivered 2019: foreship 114 mtr. motor yacht Delivered 2022: 62 mtr motor yacht. Delivered 2022: lots of super yacht sections Delivered 2023: 65 mtr. motor yacht lots of super yacht sections Delivered 2024: lots of super yacht sections, lots of dredge hopper sections Delivered 2024: 45 mtr. motor yacht and lots of super yacht sections Under construction: 70 mtr. motorjacht and lots of super yacht sections 2015: Certified ISO 3834-2: Obtaining ISO certification underlines our position, because it confirms that we work in accordance with the highest welding requirements and that we control the welding technology to the minutest detail. The certification ensures that all stages from receipt of the order to delivery, shall be conducted in accordance with established quality procedures. This will include working with other qualified welders and the use of products which comply with all product specifications and regulations!
For 5 years, i have been learning the art of building a ship. Making the sections of a ship which look like 'shoeboxes' is easy, but making well formed yachts and marine vessels which are smooth as a glass, is real craftsmanship. Learning all different stages of the hullconstruction, gave me a lot of experience. From cutting the iron to welding it with CO2, ive been working in all stages. In my role as salesman/director of Gebr. Buijs Scheepsbouw BV, these past years on the yard give me a solid base to discuss and advise in all kind of projects.
In this fuction, i was responsible for all the planning in our company. Making schedules for the employees etc. etc. In this function i learned to work punctual which i still like to do!
