Leadership responsibilities for cost control of a €1bn divisional budget, Zero Based Budgeting, brand strategy, management information standardisation, business risk assessment, restructuring, brand disposal projects and financial process improvement.
Finance lead for Unilever’s Skin Cleansing and Skin Care business in Europe, responsible for strategy development, innovation project gate-keeping and country engagement to drive P&L delivery. Delivered a strong M&A agenda with the acquisition of Kalina (market leader in Skin Care in Russia) and execution against the Sara Lee acquisition business case.
Responsible for credit control and pricing for Unilever’s three UK operating businesses. Successfully led a huge change agenda: implementing a common SAP platform, outsourcing core credit tasks to a third party, relocating the UK team to new head office, reducing the headcount from 90 to 45 and implementing new terms of trading.
