Lead all Quality Control activities for one of the world's most technically advanced research vessels, ensuring quality, inspection and commissioning activities are delivered in line with demanding project milestones. Responsible for coordinating quality activities across structural steelwork, outfitting, accommodation, machinery installation and commissioning, ensuring all inspection activities are completed without impacting programme delivery. Key Responsibilities & Achievements - Lead daily quality coordination across multiple disciplines, ensuring inspection activities support construction schedules and critical project milestones. - Produce and manage Inspection & Test Plans, quality documentation and technical records. - Coordinate inspectors, production teams and subcontractors to ensure quality issues are resolved quickly and efficiently. - Drive accountability across multiple departments, ensuring agreed actions are completed within project deadlines. - Work closely with project management, engineering teams and client representatives to resolve technical issues while maintaining programme progress. - Promote a proactive quality culture focused on ownership, teamwork and delivering work right first time. - Support commissioning and sea trial activities, ensuring documentation and inspection records are complete and fully traceable.
Provide leadership for the Material Management Quality Department supporting one of Europe's largest nuclear construction projects. Lead Quality Project Managers, QA Engineers, QA Inspectors and Inspection Coordinators across multiple procurement packages, ensuring quality objectives are consistently achieved while supporting demanding construction schedules. QC Coordinator for the OceanXplorer project based at Damen Shiprepair and conversion Schiedam. Overseeing a small but experienced team in order to deliver all aspects of quality from general steel inspections right through to Commissioning and Sea Trials. An excellent and very fulfilling project with the end product being something to be very proud of. This Vessel will feature on televisions across the world for many years to come and my team and I made sure it was built to the right standards and quality..
In charge of ensuring quality of all sub sea level sections, amongst other components built for 3 different cruise liners for the Meyer Werft. This included the complete running of a sub-contractor, pre inspections and inviting of clients such as AIDA, Royal Caribbean and Disney Cruises.
