Managed the Lessines plant. This plant makes Plastics bags and components to supply over 20 filling plants of the Baxter Group worldwide, as well as Parenteral Nutrition products. Over the last couple of years, I had the opportunity to lead a Lean transformation of the plant. The results are multiple: - Enhanced financial performance - Development of a Continuous Improvement spirit and better collaboration between teams - Improved records in Safety, Quality, Service Level a.o. through a strong improvement of the release on time, CAPA effectiveness and stronger Audit performance.
Responsible of all Production activities for the Nutrition, Viaflex, Cernevit and Anesthaesia lines, from the Mixing to the Packing.
Scope of the position was the Production of all Plastics Departments : Extrusion, Kiefel, Heat Seal Nutrition and Molding
Managed the McBride factory at Etain, Meuse (55), France. The factory makes bleach products for household purpose, in private label. I managed to initiate majors changes with the SEVESO regulations (site is classified as big SEVESO). I Installed a new Blow Moulding department in the factory, managing to decrease costs by vertically integrating the bottles making and the Filling activities.
As Blow Moulding Manager, I initiated significant changes in the organisation and performance of the Department; essentially, I built-up a team capable of recovering the reliability of the production process, of achieving a high level of quality of our products, of decreasing waste and energy utilisation. The results were a significant efficiency increase, an improved quality and service to our internal customer (the Filling Department), and a much better morale among all workers of our Department.
In this position, I was in charge of the project team of the site, and for the general maintenance, in charge of the Mixing department, the utilities and buildings of the factory.
