Process support for clinical and commercial scale production of biologics drugs (Upstream). The role spans the entire upstream process from preculture, to large scale bioreactor production
A large portion of my work here has been the validation of NGS and RNAseq data sets in the context of the underlying patho-physiology and clinical genetics of a given disease. During my time in this role I have developed a number of advanced wet lab and organisational skills • Project management and planning • Maintenance of accurate records for regulatory review • HPLC-Mass Spectroscopy • Cell culture and maintenance of cell lines • Isolation and purification of Proteins • Genetic engineering (Crispr Cas9) • Management and training of junior students, medical students and technical staff • Validation and introduction of SOPs • Regularly performing a range of basic molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR, rtPCR, Immunocytochemistry/Immunohistochemistry. • Analysis of Large NGS, Mass spectroscopy and RNA sequencing datasets • Basic competence in R and Python programming languages
