- Built the scientific affairs function with the objective of translating and applying internal and external science and information to drive the credibility and support the commercial success of the nutrition business. - Coached and mentored a team of 6 members to build a high performance result oriented team within a competitive environment. - Developed the vision for scientific affairs "Inspire Leaders, Empower Marketing, Fuel innovation through science-based knowledge". - Led the development and execution of the Scientific Affairs strategy, in support of the global business strategy. - Fostered collaborative partnership with Nestlé Research, Product Technology Center (PTC) and Marketing, ensuring that Scientific Affairs is embedded within the Innovation-to-Launch (I2L) process, to strengthen and accelerate our innovation. - Ensured accurate translation of complex scientific concepts into credible compelling and differentiating messages for all NN businesses. - Scientific support for Medical and Scientific Affairs activities in the markets. - Collaborated with Regulatory Affairs, R&D and Marketing to ensure the development of compliant products, communications and health claims throughout the innovation process. - Developed, in collaboration with Regulatory Affairs, processes and tools for claim assessments and guidance of use by the businesses in the markets. - Contributed to the elaboration of the Master Regulatory Dossier including scientific background of nutritional concepts and rationale for nutrient levels for recipe.
- Guide a team of Scientific Affairs Managers present in each of the SEA-PR countries. - Support Nutritional Marketing and Medical Delegates from a scientific point of view. - Represent the Nestlé Nutrition Institute (NNI) which focus is to share leading science based information and education with health professionals, scientists and nutrition communities and stakeholders, in an interactive way
- Ensured regulatory compliance of the products (Pediatric specialties) globally by: *Assessing regulatory feasibility of projects including labelling and claims, supporting both the R&D project manager and the project leader (Business). *Supporting the recipe validation process for regulatory compliance. *Building regulatory dossiers to support product launch in the market, based on scientific data. - Supported the market for product registration - Shaped the regulation by: *Following and supporting RA in the market to shape the national regulations to facilitate business (prepared positions, edit/comment drafted legislations, …). *Training local RA on our product regulations and dossiers (workshops).
