He is a cerified Project Management Professional (PMP) and with certification in ITIL Service Management and has: • Over 15 years’ progressive hands-on IT Systems Management experience in developing, implementing and managing software development and infrastructure deployments with advanced knowledge of network technologies (LAN/WAN switching, routing, VoIP System, IT security, Proxy/UFP Servers, load balancing, E-mail/Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam Systems, VPN, Intrusion Detection and Prevention System, Vulnerability Assessment Systems, Public Key Infrastructure) and IT Infrastructure technologies (Windows, SAN, Linux, Unix, Solaris, MS Exchange, Active Directory, SharePoint, Citrix, Virtualization and cloud-based platforms) in a high availability 24x7, mission critical enterprise environment. • Over 15 years’ leadership experience developing and executing strategic, operational and tactical technology plans in ensuring that IT investments and deployments are aligned with company’s objectives and business plans, and demonstrated solid management experience building, directing, mentoring, coaching, motivating and managing performance of IT professionals. • Extensive experience developing, documenting and managing Incident Management, Change Management processes, operating procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
Reporting to the CIO, Thomas has management responsibility for thought leadership, vision, direction, design, plan, implementation, support and maintenance of the organization’s IT infrastructure assets, including servers, operating systems, server virtualization (VMWARE ESX, PowerVM and Hyper-V), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop on VMware ESX 6.0, Cisco UCS physical infrastructure, EMC VNX 5400 & IBM V7000 storage), enterprise SAN storage and backup systems, data/voice/radio/telecom networks, call centre systems, telephony assets, outside fibre-optic (DWDM, CWDM and SONET) and copper cabling plants, data center operations (power/ space/ cabling/HVAC), databases and middleware systems to ensure the effective stability and optimization of the company’s IT infrastructure assets.
