Responsible for new research projects to develop new fragrance technologies at Symrise internally and externally.
Research and development of new delivery systems for fragrances (e.g. biodegradable core shell or matrix capsules, scent booster formulations, air care devices...). Make sure the Systems work in different applications (e.g. washing machine) and regions worldwide and that Symrise has freedom to operate (3 labs).
Prevent problems caused by interaction of fragrances with formulations (home and personal care), packaging or surfaces. Improve fragrance performance in formulations and applications (capsules, membrane air fresheners, hair colouration, bleach...) Organisation and evaluation of sensory tests Evaluation and characterisation of new fragrance raw materials Solve customer complaints Support perfumery and evaluation with tests, technical databases (stability, discolouration, solubility, adhesion, volatility…) and creative solutions Show and explain our technologies and innovations to our customers to achieve and secure “core list” status Create and secure intellectual property Cooperate with applied research facilities worldwide (5 labs)
Supervision of quality control and development of personal and home care products (5 employees).
