As a member of the ESG-Team , i am working on a strategy towards a more sustainable future for Ten Brinke , and try to improve our impact on society and the environment .
After finishing the "La Vie" project, I moved on to a new building site in Reinickendorf, Berlin. Here, Ten Brinke developed 120 middle-size residential units commissioned by Gewobag, a Berliner Housing cooperative. The project was finished at the end of 2016, with a new project already waiting: 172 residential units and a supermarket in the middle of Friedrichhain, Berlin.
As treasurer I've been responsible for the finance of the Twente department of the Young Democrates, a political youth organisation. Besides the financial aspect, I've also been organising various politically related activities for their members.
As Interim Treasurer I've been responsible for the finance of the Twente department of the Young Democrates, after the previous treasurer had to resign from the function. After a period of 6 months I have been elected as Treasurer for the following year.
Within the Education Committee of Building Engineering, I represented all the other students of that study, in particular the graduation students in the 4th year. We provided improvement points for our study, and acted as intermediaries between students and teachers.
In the Betatechniek program I've been working with about 25 students from every technical study at Saxion, in which I've been the Bouwkunde representative. We've been trying to improve the knowledge on beta-studies to prevent first years students from making the wrong choice and dropping out. The main goal is to inform children from 14-16 years old about the classes they choose.
As ambassador at IntoSaxion I've been sharing my study- and job related activities with other students and pupils who are looking for a study to choose. Using Twitter, updates are automatically shared to the Bouwkunde-page at the IntoSaxion website: http://www.intosaxion.nl/opleidingen/bouwkunde/.
