As a doctor of chemical and process engineering I have had the opportunity to work in various industries: Abattoir waste water treatment, wool conditioning for carpet, the fabrication of insulating boards for high temperature applications and for buildings, the production of cement and concrete, as well as the treatment of waste and alternative fuels in the cement industry. I am a tenacious, dynamic and methodical person. Very multi-skilled, with a strong shop floor presence. I strongly motivate my teams via persuasion and implication in the tasks, as well as making propositions for action. I use my interpersonal skills and my team spirit to ensure a culture of results, a sense of urgency and efficiency. With a proven background in industrial manufacturing and process engineering positions, and the major part of my career as a Plant Manager (site SEVESO, ATEX, ISO 9001, ISO 14001), the main focus was on: health & safety, Lean, 6 sigma, Kaizen, continuous improvement, cost reduction and commercial alignment. I am presently qualifying to black belt level in Lean / 6 sigma manufacturing, even though I have been doing it for the last 20 years...
