Chief Executive Officer at Galderma -- Driving our bold ambition to advance our category leadership in dermatology

Zug, Zug, Switzerland

About

As CEO of Galderma, I lead Galderma’s transformation to become the leading dermatology company in the world. Galderma is the only global company dedicated entirely to dermatology across Injectable Aesthetics, Dermatological Skincare and Therapeutic Dermatology. Established in 1981, the company is present in 90+ countries and has approximately 6,300 employees. We are strengthening our stature as a high-performing, standalone company. We are reaching for greater innovation, diversity, environmental responsibility and commercial performance to deliver an innovative portfolio of science-based flagship brands. I am also the Non-Executive Chairman of Waters Corporation. Before joining Galderma, I served as the CEO of Shire, the leading global biotech focused on rare diseases, until January 2019 when Shire was acquired by Takeda. During this time, I also served as a member of Shire’s Board of Directors and Chairman of the Executive Committee. Earlier in my career I held a number of leadership positions in the pharmaceutical industry including at Bayer, Novartis and Merck & Co. I qualified as a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Copenhagen Medical School, gained a Master of Public Health (MPH) at Harvard University School of Public Health and an MBA from INSEAD.
