I believe we’re living through the most important decade for nature in human history. And despite what the headlines suggest, there’s extraordinary reason for hope. I spend my time on three things. 1. Earthly I’m the CEO and co-founder of Earthly, a B Corp nature finance platform helping 800+ organisations invest in verified nature outcomes. We assess every project against 160+ quality indicators across carbon, biodiversity and community impact through our Keystone framework, because capital only scales when integrity is real. In 2024, we launched the UK’s first Voluntary Biodiversity Credit, a new asset class designed to channel private capital directly into measurable ecosystem recovery. Trusted by Deloitte, CaixaBank, S&P Global and recognised by the World Economic Forum. 2. Biome Fund I’m co-founding Biome, a First Nations-led natural capital fund in Western Australia. WA is home to one of only 36 biodiversity hotspots on Earth, and right now a A$600B+ major project pipeline is stalled because high-integrity biodiversity offsets simply don’t exist at scale. Biome is building the supply. Chaired by Glen Kelly, who negotiated Australia’s largest native title settlement (A$1.3B, covering 200,000km² of Southwest WA), Biome’s dual-fund model uses philanthropic capital to build the foundations that unlock commercial investment. The ambition is to become Australia’s leading natural capital platform, timed deliberately to Australia’s COP31 Presidency. 3. Wilding Earth & LinkedIn I tell the stories of nature coming back. Through Wilding Earth, my documentary channel, I follow the people and projects leading nature recovery across the UK, the pioneers restoring landscapes, rebuilding habitats and proving that rewilding works. On LinkedIn, I go broader. I share the stories from around the world that give me hope, animal behaviour that challenges what we think we know, species returning from the brink, landscapes transformed by restoration, and the technology and science making nature measurable and investable. If it inspires me, I want to share it with you.
Earthly is empowering hundreds of organisations globally (inc. Deloitte, S&P Global & Activision) to tackle climate breakdown and biodiversity collapse, actively contributing to the protection and restoration of our planet. We do this by identifying the world’s most impactful nature-based projects that align with our client’s environmental and social goals. At the heart of our platform sits our rigorous project quality assessment 'Keystone 3.0' that screens 160+ data points across each project’s carbon, biodiversity and social impact. With funding from Google, we are now helping 800+ global companies invest into the top 5% scoring nature-based projects to de-risk their climate contributions and become the regenerative business leaders of tomorrow. Biome Foundation is an independent not-for-profit accelerating nature recovery through science, technology, and First Nations leadership. We support high-integrity restoration projects, open-access environmental infrastructure, and the development of Australia’s emerging nature markets. Our focus is on enabling scalable, credible, and measurable outcomes for biodiversity, climate, and communities. By combining Indigenous knowledge with ecological science and technologies such as geospatial analysis, eDNA, and bioacoustics, we aim to help build the technical foundations needed for the next generation of nature recovery across Western Australia and beyond.
