Earlier as R&D and Technology Transfer Director. In earlier position, in Alstom I had the chance to reshape the existing engineering process, moving to latest available technologies and tools, raising the level of Engineering efficiency and quality. Here gained deep knowledge of Power Plants and Environmental Air Emission Control technologies for Power and Industrial application. Before to join Alstom, along with few pals we started up and developed an Engineering and consultancy Business Unit in Italy for a French group. Starting from just a small office and few contacts from previous jobs, we grew up to a branch of 200+ consultants working for differentiated industrial sectors. In charge of Operations at Tianjin MV/LV cable manufacturing plant (240 employees, 20'000tonn/y 700MRmb/y sales). Responsible of HR, Production, Planning, Quality, Purchasing, Logistic, Maintenance, Finance, cost controlling.
Project Director at GE Power - Environmental Control System. P&L responsible for execution on budget and schedule of a multinational EPC project for the supply of Air Quality Control system (Electrostatic dust Precipitator and Desulfurization scrubber) for new 3 GW power plant in Saudi. Resources distributed in Beijing, Kolkata, Saudi (operation/construction site). Project net margin improved 10MEur over 2 years execution.
In charge of defining R&D programs. The process involves Sales&Marketing and project execution. The defined programs are managed by Program Managers, with a rigourous process, until the NPI. In charge of defining the Technology Transfers to Business Units, based on market needs.
Working with collegues at Milan Execution centre, I was responsible to transfer the operation capability in execute EPC contract for WFGD plants (de-dust and desulfurization filters and scrubbers) applied in power plants. I relocated in the Beijing branch of Alstom Power Environmental Control System.
