My role as a Software and Solution Architect at ACLVB is central to our digital transformation, focusing on designing the technical solutions that move the company forward. It involves guiding the shift from older, monolithic systems to a more flexible and modern microservices architecture, using principles from Domain-Driven Design. The goal is to build systems that are secure, scalable, improve the user experience, and align with business targets. A big part of the work, and something I find very rewarding, is mentoring other people, bridging the gap between our dev and infra teams, and ensuring our technology is ready for what's next. Key Contributions & Achievements: - Architectural Vision & Strategy: Drafted the long-term architectural vision for the company and mapped the entire application landscape using the C4 model, creating a clear, strategic roadmap for the organization. - Modernization & Integration: Helped mature the company's Event-Driven Architecture, guided the adoption of a hybrid cloud strategy, and introduced containerization (Podman, TestContainers) to streamline development and deployment. - Security & Observability: Strengthened our security posture by embedding "shift-left" principles like Least Privilege and Zero-Trust. Introduced and led the hands-on onboarding for a new Observability Platform using OpenTelemetry and Signoz, providing a much clearer view of system performance. - Leadership & Collaboration: Initiated and now lead the company's first Architecture and Technical Owner's Guilds to foster collaboration and improve alignment. I also play a key part in our 'Buy vs. Build' analysis and technology partner selection.
