An engineer at heart, with a creative soul, and a passion for deep tech innovation, with the combination of the three as a very good description of who I am: a deep tech-savvy, analytically creative executive who loves shaping a vision as much as making it happen. In a world characterized by more and more complex adaptive systems, only integrating humans into these, and not putting them at the center, it is possible to symbiotically innovate, advance resilience, generate insight, foster emergence and achieve long-term success through deep tech. I am also convinced that in this new environment the answer to the question of with whom you collaborate is at least as defining as the one about how you compete. My career commenced as a consultant with BCG and I also tried to live my romantic idea of having a restaurant, which turned out to be quite different from reality. Passion and entrepreneurship, mixed with an intrinsic aspiration to always do what is right and not simply what is good has driven me throughout my career and continues to today. Specialties: vision, pushing boundaries, boldness, first principles operating, hiring good people, no regrets, bluntness, partnering, humour, sense for enduring design and brands, asking the right questions and occasionally providing the right answers.
