My role encompasses managing global and Pan-European contracts, implementing Ariba, establishing category purchasing strategies, advancing Strategic Sourcing Methodology, and streamlining tail spend outsourcing. Acting as the Project Procurement Portfolio Manager, I am the primary liaison for all EPCm and EPC contractors, ensuring efficient and effective procurement processes. In a period of significant investment, I transitioned to a corporate role as Corporate Purchasing Manager (EAME). During this nearly four-year tenure, I was instrumental in driving the procurement strategy for major capital projects across the region, directly contributing to Huntsman's strategic expansion and operational enhancement.
In this role I established the Purchasing Department at our Belgium headquarters. This initiative not only set the stage for centralizing the EAME purchasing departments at this hub but also involved creating a SAP portal that significantly simplified the purchasing process and introduced e-procurement on a large scale, a system that was later expanded to other regions, thereby streamlining procurement operations and enhancing efficiency across the company ensuring full SOx compliance.
During my tenure at ICI, I spearheaded key procurement and project management initiatives, driving significant improvements in operational efficiency and establishing robust vendor relationships. This period was marked by parallel academic achievements in Technical Business Economics , culminating in a thesis that significantly contributed to the professionalization of ICI purchasing department in 1999.
