As the CEO of RESiLICON since October 2024, I am committed to advancing Europe’s sustainable future by leading the development of one of the world's most energy-efficient polysilicon production facilities. Powered by renewable energy, our facility in Groningen, the Netherlands, is poised to support solar, semiconductor, and battery industries while fostering industrial resilience and sustainability. With over 25 years of experience in financial leadership across various sectors, I bring expertise in digital strategy, assurance, and cultural transformation. Throughout my career, I have focused on modernising finance functions, implementing innovative solutions, and spearheading organisational growth. My work is driven by a collaborative approach, meticulous preparation, and a passion for driving impactful change.

We are well positioned to make it a success given our deep experience and knowledge, together with our partners and a strategic location.     Remco is the Finance Manager at the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education. He is responsible for overseeing all finance-related matters, which include financial accounting, management reporting, statutory reporting, and communications with banks, tax authorities, and auditors. He leads the Finance department, which comprises 7 staff members. To modernise the finance function, Remco implemented a management control system supported by a new Power BI reporting suite that aligns with the institute's vision and mission. Additionally, he initiated a transition to more cost-effective capacity-building in water management and education by introducing cost-management strategies. As his responsibilities at RESiLICON became more demanding, Remco decided to step down from the role at IHE.

      As a unit MT and member of the global management team (62 M.EUR in revenues, 300 staff, 40 countries), Remco is responsible for the finance and control function and reports to the CEO. Directly and indirectly, Remco led 40 staff members in 15 regional locations. His responsibilities includes finance, control, M&A, treasury, tax, and risk. The core part of the finance & control strategy is to digitize all processes further with state-of-the-art applications. Remco has established a governance structure of process owners to drive standardization, embed a constant improvement culture, and a strong focus on working capital development with a strict cash generation policy for each entity. With a buy-and-build acquisition strategy (recently in the Balkans) and the opening of new offices in Dubai, Indonesia, and Lithuania, Remco supported the global expansion of the unit. In addition, it has recapitalized all entities. All in all, this has led to double-digit growth in the last few years.

      Remco reported to the CFO and led the digital finance transformation by (1) installing a process-based governance structure with Process Owners, (2) implementing several best-of-breed software solutions in our operations, (3) ensuring data quality assurance and state-of-the-art reporting (ratification), and (4) developing a modern knowledge management system to embed the changes. Atradius and Atradius Collections: The Atradius Group provides trade credit insurance, surety and collections services worldwide and has a presence through 160 offices in 42 countries. Atradius Collections, a business unit of Atradius Group, provides efficient, quick and flexible solutions to recover domestic and international trade invoices. With over 300 staff in 31 offices and an extensive network of collections specialists, lawyers and insolvency practitioners worldwide, Atradius Collections serves over 15,500 customers, handling on average 100,000 cases yearly with a total value of 1BN+ Euro. Over 80 years of global credit management industry experience uniquely positions Atradius Collections as a worldwide leader in the business-to-business trade invoice collection arena. The receivables management services provided worldwide are pre-calling, invoice checking, standby services, first-party collections, debt collections and insolvency monitoring.
