July 2012 – Present, Regional Director. In addition to my responsibilities as Country Manager for Spain, I am also tasked with regional responsibilities for the Mexico office. Due to the down turn in the energy sector, I also drove our activities into other markets. I created an IT division in Madrid and opened offices in Cataluña and Asturias to support or Pharmaceutical, Chemical and Life Sciences division. Clients include BASF, Dow, Rovi Farma, Roche (Genentech) and Lonza. I am involved in service integration with our global network of offices. November 2007 - September 2010, Business Development Director EMEA. Undertook business development responsibilities covering Europe, Middle East and Africa. Clients included Fluor, our internal client and external companies such as ADNOC, Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Qafco and Tecnicas Reunidas. I was the central point for all tender processes, liaising with our quality manager in Aberdeen. Client base depended on geographic location (Ireland – Life Sciences, Middle East – Energy etc.). I organised international recruitment campaigns. Examples include Spanish and South American candidates for Ausenco (Australia) and Spanish, Portuguese candidates for Hatch (Chile) June 2004 – November 07, Country Manager Spain. Responsibilities in Spain include profit and loss, sales and operations and all responsibilities of a signatory. I opened the office in 2004, recruited the team and lead the business development activities. To support the construction of a refinery in Cartagena, I also ran a successful recruitment campaign in Venezuela, interviewing over 450 candidates and recruiting over 80. I also hold the responsibility of being the prime contact for all whistleblowing and business ethics issues, which means that I have to undergo investigation and scrutiny training.
Operations Manager for Stevenage and Hull offices. Branch Manager for Stevenage head office. Led a team of recruiters supplying the pharmaceutical and scientific industry. Clients included GSK, Pfizer and Amgen. Upon my entry into Camco we were invited to tender for the supply of contractors into GSK following an RFI. We bid and won every lot for the supply of staff, including lots where we were weak (Medical Affairs and Clinical Trials. I built and structured a recruitment team to support the client and we grew and maintained a steady workforce. Once GSK was receiving a good service and our KRI’s were good, I concentrated on expanding our client base to avoid over dependency. Clients that we recruited for include Amgen, Pfizer, Novartis and Astra Zeneca.
