While doing a trip around the world, I took the responsibility to work remotely as a part-time iOS developer for the Smart Mobile Factory. My tasks are to maintain, debug and improve some projects but also to help the iOS team whenever it is needed. See more of my travel at: http://picturemy.world
In my role as team lead, I created a structure in the iOS department to bring different people together in one team. With my team we worked together to write and follow a code style guide in order to make sure good code quality and consistent syntax were used in the iOS team. I also introduced a useful and efficient code review process in the company (Pull Request). During that time I learnt new technologies, such as Swift, and introduced them to my colleagues. I specialized in business infrastructure and continuous integration (JIRA, Jenkins, Hockey). In addition, I started a process of developer conferences within the company in order to share knowledge. I also wrote documentation about infrastructures and code review processes. Over the past two years I worked on over 40 projects.
As an iOS developer at Smart Mobile Factory, I was in charge of several big projects, including cross platform and backend based solutions. I had to estimate new features and schedule sprint plans to achieve complex releases. I quickly learnt how to switch between projects, fix bugs and apply long term solutions to any kind of project structure and logic. The main key was to keep a balance between quality code, customer requirements and development costs.
