Working collaboratively with Senior Vice President of Communications, conceptualize, plan, develop and execute a corporate communications strategy that portrays the organization’s nonprofit mission and consistently maintains AED’s fully-integrated brand identity. Develop and drive strategic road map, which includes message development, content production, promotion, analysis and measurement for online and print communications. Quickly established pattern of identifying opportunities, championing new initiatives and embracing challenges, resulting in multiple promotions and leadership roles within the department and organization. Participated in the larger nonprofit community by representing AED’s partnership with the ONE Campaign, the Gates Foundation’s ViewChange.org and Living Proof Project, and TEDxChange. Champion, develop and manage online marketing and social media strategy Manage website and web team of four people plus consultants ensuring web content is fresh, accessible and search-engine optimized. Responsible for editorial calendar and integration of all digital communications with overall business development and communications priorities. Spearhead and lead strategic implementation of various social media applications (Facebook, twitter, Youtube, Wikipedia, Flickr, Internet forums, blogs, podcasts, videos and RSS feeds) to increase visibility and ensure brand consistency. Developed online and social media policy for staff. Manage complex two-year branding project that brought to life new AED brand, representing a progressive shift in corporate culture and service delivery. Direct and project-manage content development, editing and dissemination of all corporate publications. Oversee budget and supervise design team and writers. Provide communications support for regional offices, both domestically and abroad, and promote understanding of digital communications and visual storytelling through on-site training of field staff.
